Peek- PF KEEP® This is a polyether-based polymer that provides an innovative metal-free solution, meeting patients' needs for comfort and durability. It is useful for manufacturing crowns, bridges, endoposts, precision attachments, removable bridges, dentures and, most surprisingly and innovatively, attachments for implants, whether single or full bars, in the form of monolithic restorations.

POST-MILLING PROCESS:

There is a very simple process for treating PFKEEP®, especially when we have already carved it after milling it on a CAD/CAM machine.

• The retaining pins are trimmed and any small details are adjusted to ensure a perfect fit.
• If we are going to cement lithium disilicate or zirconia crowns, we prepare the base with a sandblaster and 50 to 100 micron aluminium oxide. It is important to ensure that the pressure does not exceed 60 psi, which means no more than 4.6 bar of pressure.
• Once we have sandblasted the entire restoration, we simply remove the dust, without washing, and apply the silane. The silane should be applied with a brush to all surfaces and left to act for three minutes.
• Next, we must use an adhesive, which is applied and light-cured.
• The restoration to be cemented is prepared using the adhesive method. In other words, the restoration is also sandblasted, treated with 2.3 or 7% hydrochloric acid, and left to act for 20 seconds.
• Once this has been done on the restoration, the adhesive is applied in the same way and the dual cement is prepared.
• The dual cement is applied, brought to the restoration, pressed, the excess removed and light-cured for at least one minute on each side, and the process is complete.

Dry milling

The same milling cutters are used as for milling PMMA.
